The International Variable Star Index, AAVSO’s catalogue of variable stars, is a great resource for variable star astronomy. One of the many factors contributing to the quality of VSX is the possibility for us users and observers to submit revisions of existing entries, thus keeping the catalogue up to date with regard to new knowledge and data, as well as suggesting entirely new entries in the case of newly discovered objects.
